“Girolago” is an initiative of Cusius Ecomuseum that aims to rediscover the ancient connecting routes, such as roads, mule tracks and paths that have been neglected and abandoned over the years. At the same time, it is a way to keep fit, as the paths are accessible on foot or by bike.
The paths of “Girolago” form a ring around Lake Orta: “Anello Azzurro” is the walking route whereas “Anello Verde” is the one by bike. The walking path offers multi-stage routes with a length between 15 and 20 km.
The places involved are all around the lake: in particular Orta San Giulio, Pella, Pettenasco and Omegna.
